Wilderness Edge

This property surpassed our expectations. Adults and kids alike all enjoyed what it had to offer. The pool table in our cabin was a big hit. The owner horses stopping by each evening as they grazed was a bonus! The views of the valley were wonderful, and the quiet seclusion is just what we were hoping for!

Perfect getaway. The host was absolutely the most helpful and friendly person. He kept us posted on the weather due to snow prediction and even said he had a tractor to clear the road. So peaceful and relaxing. Cabin was very clean and completely furnished. Just bring your food, and you are set.

I cannot tell you how WONDERFUL this place is!!! My family’s trip back to Montana had special meaning to all of us, as we, in part, were celebrating the life of my husband. Mark and Kendra could not have been more accommodating, kind, and generous with their time, knowledge of the area, and extra fun they provided for my two daughters and their families. We stayed in the Saddlehorn Lodge which was more than spacious for our five adults and six children. The location was perfect for trips to Yellowstone and fly fishing in Ennis! Access to Cliff Lake where my grandchildren paddle boarded and kayaked was extra special. This trip was all that I hoped it would be due to Wilderness Edge! God willing, I hope to come back someday in the future!

Mark was a great host-the cabins are clean, and the common bath house was almost like your own with how clean it was kept. It’s only a 30-35 minute drive from the west entrance to Yellowstone. You’ll definitely enjoy your stay at this remote getaway!

Passed through the wilderness edge to go day hiking. The owners were so incredibly nice and gave us some tips for our hike. Would love to stay here next time we're out in the area. The hiking was beautiful and we had it all to ourselves and they have plenty of other activities too like boat rentals. Definitely recommend this hidden gem!

We stayed in the Sagebrush cabin and it was great! More than enough room for the 10 of us (2 families). This place is more than a place to stay, Mark and Kendra are wonderful and are very welcoming. We played volleyball, basketball, got to know the barn cats and dogs and sat by the campfire at night. It was a great time and a place that I will remember and want to come back to. A true hidden gem!

We really enjoyed our stay in one of the rustic cabins. Mark was so friendly and accommodating. The cabin was immaculate and so well stocked thanks to Ginny. So happy we got to chat with her a bit on our way out. It was hard to leave this beautiful, peaceful place and go back to the city but we'll be back. Thanks for everything! Update: We returned this year to stay in one of the rustic cabins. Again, the cabin was so clean and well stocked and toasty warm in the cool fall nights. We had such a good time on the lake and visiting with Mark, Kendra and friends and of course, the wonderful Ginny. The dogs and kids were a real plus as well. This warm , welcoming and hard working group are what makes this place so special. Can't wait to return next year! .
